The CFMOTO 675SR-R is to be the official motorcycle for the 2027 WorldWCR season

The 675SR-R, CFMOTO’s high-performance three-cylinder sports bike, has reached an agreement with the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and the Dorna WSBK Organisation (DWO) to become the official motorcycle of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR). This marks the first time a Chinese motorbike manufacturer has been appointed as the exclusive engine supplier for a 'one-make' championship at FIM World Championship level.

WorldWCR, founded in 2024 and jointly organised by the FIM and Dorna, is the first world-class road racing championship created exclusively for female riders. As a single-make class at the highest level of world competition, all riders compete on identical motorbikes, which puts the rider’s skills to the test and also serves as an important benchmark for the motorbike’s performance. WorldWCR is one of the four classes under the banner of the WorldSBK World Road Racing Championship, alongside SPB (Sportbike), SSP (Supersport) and SBK (Superbike).

A proven track record forms the basis for racing

The production version of the 675SR-R is powered by CFMOTO’s in-house developed 675cc liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine, delivering a peak power output of 70 kW (95 pk) at 11,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 70 Nm at 8,250 rpm, providing a solid foundation for further racing development.

Even more impressive is the model’s track record on real race circuits. In the British Superbike Championship (BSB) – a championship with a rich racing tradition and fierce competition – the 675SR-R has already been put through its paces in competitive racing for two seasons. In its debut season, the model secured a podium finish, becoming the first production motorbike built in China to finish on a BSB podium.

Furthermore, the 675SR-R’s racing DNA stems from the joint development and tuning efforts of CFMOTO and the Aspar team, CFMOTO’s technical partner in the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships. During the development of the 675SR-R, Aspar’s riders and technical team were closely involved in testing the machine, which has directly benefited the performance of the production model on the track.

The Chinese motorbike industry: a historic moment

The broader industry context behind the CFMOTO 675SR-R becoming the official motorcycle for the entire WorldWCR season should not be overlooked. In 2025, the production and sales of large-capacity leisure motorbikes with engine capacities above 250cc in China reached 953,700 units, an increase of 25.87% year-on-year, with growth well above the sector average.

From winning the Moto3 Constructors' World Championship to now becoming the 'one-make’ model for WorldWCR: CFMOTO is using its achievements on the track to redefine the global market’s perception of the Chinese motorbike industry.

Outlook: A new global chapter for Chinese racing motorbikes

The 2027 WorldWCR season marks the 675SR-R’s first large-scale competitive appearance in the world’s premier women’s road racing championship. CFMOTO has announced that it will set up a comprehensive technical support system for the championship, including the preparation of the race bikes, the supply of parts and an on-site technical team.

When the 675SR-R’s engine roars around the WorldWCR circuits in the 2027 season, the world will not only hear the sound of a Chinese racing bike, but also the echo of a transformed industry.
