CFMOTO secretly unveils a new black colour scheme for the 1000MT-X during the global MT Challenge

The second edition of the CFMOTO MT Challenge Global Final The event in Huelva, Spain, is now behind us. Whilst the international teams were pushing the 1000MT-X to its limits there, something special was happening in the shadows of the paddock. Without any big loudspeakers or an official unveiling, CFMOTO carried out the secret maiden run of a brand-new, a deep black colour scheme with subtle gold accents for her powerful adventure all-road bike.

Anyone who paid close attention during the event may have already caught a glimpse of this dark variant. Now that the curtain has officially been raised, CFMOTO is putting this long-awaited colour firmly in the spotlight.

Darkness with a touch of character: the black and gold look

The new black and gold version gives the 1000MT-X a completely different look. Whilst existing colourways such as Tactical Green or Aerolite Grey blend seamlessly with the classic expedition aesthetic, this dark finish takes a completely different, understated and minimalist approach.

It gives the heavy-duty all-road bike a distinctly menacing, tactical edge. The clean, monolithic lines are accentuated by a sleek, all-black finish, making the bike look just as at home on a city run as it does parked outside a mountain hut after a week of off-grid riding. And because this model underwent its unofficial baptism of fire amidst the intensity of the Spanish rally circuit, you can be sure it’s no polished showroom showpiece, but a machine with a rough edge.

Beneath the new, jet-black exterior lies, of course, exactly the same uncompromising engineering that makes the 1000MT-X so popular with adventurers. Riders who have put the machine through its paces immediately realise why the specifications make all the difference on the trail and on the road. For instance, the clever, low-set fuel tank position significantly lowers the centre of gravity, resulting in superior and agile handling. In addition, the fully adjustable KYB suspension, with 230 mm of travel, effortlessly smooths out any terrain for maximum, tailor-made control. When the pace picks up or unexpected braking is required, the powerful Brembo brakes deliver exceptional stopping power and precise braking feel. The powerful engine also delivers extra smoothness and enables effortless overtaking, even when the bike is heavily laden for a long journey. Together with the robust 21-inch front wheel, which offers optimum stability on challenging off-road sections, the bike is completely in its element.

Now on display in the showroom

With the addition of the black and gold colour scheme – following a sneak preview in the heat of the action in Spain – riders now have another option that looks every bit as sharp as it performs. Good news for anyone who wants to hit the road fully kitted out straight away: the motorbike is already on display in the showroom and is also available as a complete GT version, including a handy pannier set. The new 1000MT-X or 1000MT-X GT in Nebula Black is now available at your local CFMOTO Dealer.
