CFMOTO, a leading company in the global powersports industry, recently welcomed international journalists from 29 countries and regions to its headquarters in China for the CFMOTO EXPERIENCE 2026. With the central theme "LIVE THE TECH – RIDE THE FUTURE", the event offered, for the first time, an in-depth look at the global strategic vision and cross-border capabilities of the China-born brand.
Through technological innovation, advanced manufacturing and an extensive global sales network with a strong local presence, CFMOTO gave journalists a behind-the-scenes look at the R&D, design, manufacturing and motorsport activities that are driving its global growth.
"We are proud of our teams and hope that this visit will give you the opportunity to experience CFMOTO for yourself, meet our people, explore our facilities, view our products and gain a deeper insight into the company behind the brand,"
said Minjie Lai, Chairman and CEO of CFMOTO, as he welcomed the delegation to China.

With its roots in China and operations in over 100 countries and regions, CFMOTO continues to expand its global presence through ongoing investment in technology, advanced manufacturing and motorsport. By strengthening its capabilities throughout the entire product lifecycle and linking expertise across markets, the company is enhancing its ability to achieve long-term international growth.
"Our vision is clear: to become the world’s leading powersports brand," said Ferdinand Klauser, CBO, CF Brand Lab & General Manager of the Brand Management Centre.
"CFMOTO’s mission is to make the world a more attractive, accessible and enjoyable place to explore. For us, 'global' refers not only to where we sell, but also to how we operate. We are now unveiling the full story of CFMOTO for the first time: our global brand and business footprint, our manufacturing, technology, racing heritage and all the capabilities that bring these together. We want the public in all markets to understand that whilst our origins are Chinese, our ambition and our competitors are global. And our way of winning must be distinctly CFMOTO."

CFMOTO serves riders all over the world through a network of more than 9,000 dealers. Its diverse portfolio includes motorbikes, off-road vehicles and electric mobility solutions, serving riders across a wide range of markets and driving cultures.
At the heart of CFMOTO’s global operations lies a strategically positioned production network. The company operates five production facilities in China, Mexico and Thailand, including sites in Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Chongqing. This manufacturing footprint is complemented by five leading R&D centres and four design hubs in both domestic and international markets, which bring together specialist expertise and forward-looking market insights from around the world.
Building on a traditional export-oriented model, CFMOTO has adopted an integrated approach to global expansion – an approach that goes beyond simply supplying products to international markets and focuses on building a lasting brand presence and stronger local connections. Feedback from riders and dealers directly informs product development, whilst CFMOTO’s globally connected R&D, design and manufacturing capabilities help to translate local market insights into products and customer experiences tailored to local needs.
This approach combines consistent global standards and shared core capabilities with an in-depth understanding of local consumers.
As Markus Ferch, Vice President of Sales for Europe at CFMOTO, explained:
"CFMOTO’s international expansion is nothing new. We have been developing global markets for many years. We therefore understand that the world is our market, but every market is different. For CFMOTO, globalisation is not simply about where our products go, but about how our global resources, operations and local market teams work together. We must strike a balance between global strength and local understanding."

Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all business model across all its facilities, CFMOTO’s production strategy emphasises factory specialisation, flexible capacity allocation and seamless coordination between different sites.
During the event, CFMOTO officially unveiled its new production facility – the CFMOTO NexFactory in Jiaxing. As a key pillar of CFMOTO’s global manufacturing and supply chain strategy, the facility serves as an integrated production centre for two-wheeler components destined for markets worldwide. The facility retains full in-house control over core processes, from the manufacture of chassis to the final assembly of the vehicle.
Designed to accommodate a broad and diverse product portfolio, the factory enables flexible production across multiple model lines with zero-loss changeover times. Smart, sustainable factory management is integrated with a digital closed-loop system that links production planning, execution and product traceability.
Efficiency in large-scale production: Mass production lines make use of standardised processes, automation and digital integration to improve consistency, accuracy and throughput.
Precision in highly complex situations: Highly complex products manufactured in small volumes rely on highly skilled technicians and specialised production processes to meet stringent technical and quality standards.
As well as making progress in the areas of smart manufacturing and factory electrification, CFMOTO is integrating sustainability into the design of its facilities and day-to-day operations. The priorities for green manufacturing include the adoption of clean energy, improved energy efficiency, sustainable materials and manufacturing processes with lower emissions. Continuous process optimisation, equipment upgrades and lean management practices help to further reduce the environmental footprint of production activities.
"CFMOTO believes that high-quality production must meet today’s market demand whilst at the same time laying a resilient foundation for long-term competitiveness,"
said Kyle Chen, Vice President of CFMOTO, who oversees the company’s manufacturing operations.
"We do not expect every facility to follow the same production model, nor do we expect every site to have the same production capacity. What matters most are clearly defined roles, effective capacity planning and seamless coordination within our production network."

At CFMOTO, innovation goes beyond individual product breakthroughs. It is an end-to-end capability that spans the entire product lifecycle, from concept development and technical validation to smart manufacturing and the driving experience.
"Our R&D capabilities matrix determines what we can deliver, how reliably we can deliver it, and how far we can push the boundaries of innovation,"
said Jens Ren, President of the Group R&D Institute.

During the CFMOTO EXPERIENCE 2026, international media representatives visited the company’s central R&D institute for the first time, gaining an exclusive insight into the vehicle development and validation workflows. The tour demonstrated how vehicle system integration, software development, simulation and physical testing work together seamlessly to drive product development. Journalists also visited the noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) laboratory, where engineers analysed and refined these characteristics to improve the vehicle’s performance, comfort and overall driving quality.
R&D in the field of smart and electric mobility is another key pillar of this broad innovation agenda. By building up in-house expertise in the fields of powertrain systems, vehicle electronics and connected features, CFMOTO is bringing new technologies into production whilst maintaining the performance and practicality that riders expect.
The event also marked the first visit by the international media to the CFMOTO Industrial Design Institute (CFID). Visitors gained an insight into how CFMOTO coordinates its design resources across China, Europe and North America.
By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise within a shared design framework, this global network helps to create a distinctive visual identity across the entire product range, whilst at the same time enabling designs to respond to the needs and preferences of different markets.
As part of the programme, CFMOTO showcased two designs, the 550CL-C and the GOES 700 CONCEPT, offering a glimpse of its "Form Follows the Wind" design philosophy". Design workshops took the media through the creative process, from the initial sketches and model development to detailed refinement. The full design philosophy will be unveiled next year.
The V4 SR-RR prototype on display embodies CFMOTO’s technical ambition. The motorbike has reportedly reached a top speed of 315.82 km/h, which demonstrates the brand’s high-performance engineering efforts. Taken together, the R&D and design tours illustrated how CFMOTO integrates technical development, design and validation to strengthen its product portfolio.

Motorsport: Bridging the gap between track performance and production vehicles
For CFMOTO, motor racing is one of the most rigorous testing grounds for technology and performance. Insights gained under racing conditions are directly channelled into the development of production vehicles, whilst racing enhances the brand’s credibility and strengthens CFMOTO’s bond with riders.
Through its partnership with the Aspar Team in Moto2 and Moto3, CFMOTO made history in 2024 by securing a clean sweep of the riders’, teams’ and manufacturers’ championships in Moto3.

That winning streak continued in 2026, when Máximo Quiles, rider for the CFMOTO Aspar Team, clinched the Moto3 World Championship this month, further building on the brand’s strong track record in global motorsport.

CFMOTO’s credibility in motor racing extends beyond the MotoGP paddock. The 675SR-R has been selected as the official race bike for the 2027 FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR), the world championship for women organised under the auspices of WorldSBK. This is the first time that a Chinese motorbike manufacturer has been appointed as the designated supplier for a single-brand championship at the level of an FIM World Championship.

Nurturing the next generation of riders lies at the heart of this commitment to motor racing. The CFMOTO RACING Talent Project, launched in 2023, creates a pathway for young Chinese riders to progress from national competitions to the international racing scene. In 2026, 13-year-old Sun Shengbo clinched the ESBK Talent title in Spain with one round remaining, becoming the first Chinese rider to win the ESBK Talent Championship.

CFMOTO’s racing activities extend beyond circuit racing. Brand ambassador and hard-enduro rider Mario Román was present at the event to talk about his victory in the Adventure Ultimate class at the 2026 Red Bull Romaniacs, riding a production-ready CFMOTO 450MT model.

To coordinate these long-term initiatives in motorsport, CFMOTO established the CFMOTO Motorsports Management Centre, which strengthens the links between technology, racing performance, brand building and rider engagement.
John Chen, Vice President of CFMOTO, said:
"CFMOTO has always remained true to what is right in the long term, even when it is difficult. We compete internationally not to chase a single victory or title, but to live by a core belief: racing drives technology, and technology serves the rider."

Samantha Liu, the newly appointed General Manager of the CFMOTO Motorsports Management Centre, echoed this view:
"Technology is pushed to new limits on the racetrack, but the ultimate focus is on the rider. These technologies aren’t built for eye-catching spec sheets – they are technical capabilities forged under extreme pressure. Our journey has taken us from competing in world championships to winning a manufacturers" title in Moto3, and now to selecting a CFMOTO production bike for a full FIM World Championship series. There is another layer to this story: we want to open up motor racing to more people."

The media programme concluded on 15 October with an exclusive on-road and off-road test drive, during which journalists had the opportunity to put CFMOTO’s latest products through their paces. The test fleet comprised the 500SR L4+E-Clutch, 450CL-C AMT, U6 EV and the ZEEHO AE series, whilst the U10 Pro Highland and the X10 were on display as static models on the test track. The practical tests brought the spirit of the CFMOTO EXPERIENCE to life.
