What is the MT Challenge Benelux?
The CFMOTO MT Challenge Benelux is a qualifying competition in which riders put their skills, control and endurance on their MT-series motorbike to the test. Over two days, participants take part in a mix of technical challenges and short off-road rides, designed to mimic real adventure conditions.
Training & Preparation Guide
The MT Challenge combines strength, technique, endurance and teamwork. Want to increase your chances of qualifying for the finals? Then train especially in the following components:
1. Engine mastery & control
Practise slow driving (slalom, figure-8, balance beam). Work on accurate clutch, brake and throttle control on asphalt as well as dirt. Train tight U-turns and pivot-turns on uneven terrain.
2. Braking & Acceleration
Emergency stop exercises: accelerate full throttle and stop exactly at a marker. Combine front and rear brakes without locking up. Change surfaces (asphalt, gravel, mud).
3. Strength & Endurance
Learn to stand your bike upright safely (with legs, not back). Push your bike (engine off) through a short course to build fitness. General fitness: squats, core training and cardio for more endurance.
4. Teamwork & problem solving
Train with other riders in bike recovery (river crossing, pushing, helping a teammate). Practise basic mechanics such as changing a wheel or tightening a chain under time pressure.
5. Mental Focus & Balance
Practise driving slowly without a foot on the ground. Train your focus under pressure: combine technical exercises with a distraction (e.g. bringing an object). Tip: Riders who prepare widely on technique, recovery, fitness and teamwork stand the best chance of qualifying and advancing to the Grand Finale in Melbourne, Australia (14-17 October 2025).
🏆 The final winner of the CFMOTO MT Challenge 2025 will be revealed on 6 November 2025 during EICMA in Italy.
Whether you come for fun or to compete for international recognition, one thing is for sure: you don't want to miss this challenge. The number of participants is limited to 150 riders, so be quick!
