TLM

PHASE 1 (1982-2001)

On 1 May 1982, TLM was officially registered in the trade register under the name Teo Lamers Motorrijwielen B.V.. From the very beginning, everything revolved around the Italian brand Moto Guzzi; there was a lot of tinkering with customers, parts and motorbikes were sourced directly from Italy and TLM was also active in (endurance) racing.

In the 20 years that followed, Moto Guzzi specialisation grew and contacts with the factory became closer and closer. Importing motorbikes and parts became daily business and the stock of motorbikes and parts grew along with it. This resulted in a move in 1989 to Nijverheidsweg 26 in Nijmegen. A characteristic building, spread over two floors, with enough space to continue growing.
In 1996, the first version of the website saw the light of day and the parts shipping service was set up.
At the turn of the century, Teo thought it was time to emigrate to Australia and found succession within the family.

PHASE 2 (2002-Present)

In 2002, Martijn and Michiel took over the company (brothers and cousins of Teo) and expanded it even further; TLM became an official Moto Guzzi dealer for the first time and, with a renewed, multilingual website and webshop, the wings outside the Netherlands were also increasingly spread. The used parts department was tackled and professionalised. However, the jacket on the Nijverheidsweg became smaller and smaller and began to squeeze. All available spaces and outbuildings were bulging.

In late 2016, the current premises on Lagelandseweg were found and all business activities could finally be combined under one roof again. After an intensive renovation and relocation, the opening followed in April 2017. The current location at Lagelandseweg 66 in Nijmegen is clearer, offers more space and opportunities to present motorbikes and has improved by leaps and bounds in terms of accessibility.

In 2020, the next step was taken and the Triumph dealership was added to the company. A brand with an equally impressive history and track record. So today you can turn to TLM for both Moto Guzzi and Triumph motorbikes, servicing, repairs, parts and accessories. We are therefore delighted that the 40th anniversary could be celebrated in 2022! On to 50!
