De internationale motorsport kent een nieuwe historische mijlpaal. De 13-jarige Sun Shengbo<\/strong>, in het rennerskwartier beter bekend als Eddie Sun<\/strong>, heeft zich officieel gekroond tot kampioen in de Spaanse ESBK Talent Moto4<\/strong>. Daarmee schrijft hij geschiedenis: Sun is de allereerste coureur met de Chinese nationaliteit die deze prestigieuze Spaanse titel binnensleept.<\/p>\n

Sun zette dit seizoen een indrukwekkende prestatie neer binnen de Aspar KSB Technical Academy<\/strong>, gesteund door CFMOTO.<\/span> Met een reeks dominante optredens bouwde hij al vroeg een beslissende voorsprong op in het klassement. In een klasse die bekendstaat om keiharde slipstreamgevechten tot aan de finishlijn, toonde de jonge coureur een opvallend volwassen en gecontroleerde rijstijl.<\/p>\n

Het succes van Sun is het resultaat van jarenlange toewijding. Hij verhuisde al op jonge leeftijd naar Spanje om zich te meten met de allerbeste talenten in de Zuid-Europese juniorklassen. Eind 2025 zette hij zichzelf wereldwijd op de kaart door in Valencia de FIM MiniGP 190cc World Final te winnen<\/strong>. Die buitengewone prestatie leidde tot een samenwerking met Albert Valera, de manager achter wereldkampioenen zoals Jorge Mart\u00edn en Pedro Acosta, en een centrale plek binnen het talentenprogramma van CFMOTO.<\/p>\n

Binnen het wereldkampioenschap Moto3 bewees CFMOTO al de absolute maatstaf te zijn dankzij de wereldtitel in 2024 met David Alonso. Waar die successen werden behaald met gevestigde internationale coureurs, markeert de triomf van Eddie Sun een uniek nieuw hoofdstuk: het bewijs dat CFMOTO nu ook een eigen Chinees toptalent succesvol klaarstoomt voor het allerhoogste niveau.
