The very first edition of the CFMOTO MT Challenge World Finale took place in beautiful Australia, where 72 riders from more than 18 different countries came together for the ultimate challenge. Among them was Team Benelux, consisting of Alexander Leurs, Benjamin Torbijn, Luc Attema and KOL Arno Jaspers, better known as Maxx Moto - the finalists of the CFMOTO MT Challenge Benelux 2025.

For Team Benelux, the adventure began at Schiphol Airport and Brussels Airport, where they embarked on a 24-hour round-the-world journey towards Melbourne. After arrival, there was time to explore the city, relax a bit and shake off the jet lag.

The next day, the team left for the Yarra Valley Lodge, the accommodation for all international teams. The venue had been completely transformed in CFMOTO style, from flags to banners - which immediately created a unique atmosphere. And as if that wasn't special enough, there were kangaroos walking in the resort's backyard, visible from the balconies.

Each participant then received a goodie bag during check-in with CFMOTO essentials, Australian snacks and a SENA headset, which later proved crucial during the challenges!

After an inspection of the course at Yarra Valley Estate and the allocation of bikes, the official opening ceremony took place. CFMOTO executives welcomed all participants and stressed the importance of this historic moment, the first ever Global CFMOTO MT Challenge.

The evenings were filled with dinners, conversations and laughter between riders and CFMOTO staff from all over the world. New friendships and connections emerged, exactly the spirit of what CFMOTO stands for.

The first day of competition consisted of 10 diverse tasks such as the 'Figures 8 Plus Challenge', 'Tennis Ball Challenge', 'SENA Blindfold Control Challenge' the infamous 'Kangaroo Chase Challenge' and many more.
Balance, coordination, throttle control and, above all, team communication were essential. Despite a somewhat slippery first half on the wet grass, Team Benelux remained focused and optimistic. Some drivers stood out better in technical tests, while others excelled in the more physical challenges. This diversity of driving styles ultimately proved to be a strength of the team.
"We are a mix of different riders in terms of style, but it complements each other well."
~ Alexander Leurs
An absolute highlight was Arno's (Maxx Moto) performance in the SENA Blindfold Control Challenge. With Benjamin as co-pilot and the headset as the only means of communication, they achieved the full points, a real triumphant moment for the team.

Although competition remained firm, the emphasis was not just on competition, but mostly on fun.
"Maybe not the best lap times, but we definitely got the best time with it."
~ Benjamin Torbijn

At the end of the day, all teams enjoyed the sun in the grass, a moment of peace, connection and sheer appreciation of the Australian landscape.
The second day was mainly about enjoying the riding and exploring the Australian landscape: a 180-km ride through jungle and forest landscapes, which involved GPS navigation and technical agility.

The riders braved challenging terrain, including a huge fallen tree. The ultimate test was the 'Victory Trail Challenge', which demanded the utmost of balance and perseverance. A special mention went to Jazmin Judith Bautista Vega (Team Mexico), the only female participant, who won the 'Best MT Spirit Award' with her determination and positive energy.

At the end of the two-day battle, Team New Zealand walked away with the win, followed by Team Romania and Team West Balkan. Individual awards went to Chris Power (NZ), Julian Raduta (RO) and Tim Coleman (AU), among others, for their impressive technique and driving skills.
